Getsu is local-first: your journal is plain files in a folder you own. Premium adds reach and safety around it, never access to it. Stop paying and you lose sync, not a single word.
Is Free really the whole app?
Yes. Every view, unlimited goals and entries, insights, and export are free with no account. The only limits are photo storage and features that need a second device.
What happens if I stop paying?
Nothing happens to your journal. It lives on your disk, so you keep every entry, goal, and photo. Sync and backup pause until you return.
Where does my data live?
On your device, as plain files in a folder you choose. With Premium, an encrypted snapshot also syncs through your cloud so other devices can pick it up.
Can I take my journal elsewhere?
Always. Export produces plain markdown and JSON you can read in any editor. Getsu is MIT-licensed and open source, so the app itself is yours too.
